My name is Vale and I'm a full-time freelance artist specializing in character art and illustration.
I'm interested in freelance work: character art, illustration, personal or commercial, character concept-art, etc.
Terms of service
•
General
• Commissioning me means you agree to the terms of service.
• The listed prices are for non-commercial commissions, prices for commercial works are discussed individually in person.
• Personal commissions can be posted anywhere by the commissioner and printed for personal use only. They must not be used for sale, advertisment or any kind of profit making.
• Please ask for the availability in advance until it’s a small project, because there’s a high chance I may be already booked for a few months!
• I retain the copyright for the artwork: use it for posting and making prints.
(if you don't want me to use it for prints it can be discussed and may increase the price a bit)
•I’m not drawing irl people unless it’s an actor depicting a certain character in a media.
Payment details
• The only way available to me to receive payments is EasyStart.(It's a freelance platform that uses PayPal, Stripe and bank transfer)
• I start work after prepayment/full payment.
• In case the price is more than 500$ the payment can be done in two instalments: 50% upfront and 50% after finish.
For big projects I usually ask for a 30% prepayment.
• I say the final price when I get all info.
• No refunds. (I can't do them physically, so please be sure that you're willing to spend the money on the commission)
Working process
• Send me information and references, then basing on this I'll tell you the price.
• Please provide a character reference, ideas for poses, moodboard or anything else you think is needed. (if you don't have a character reference for your character then find pictures that better show it.
For example: I want a face like in this picture, beard like in this and body type like in this etc.)
• Walls of text without images are not welcome. Not because I'm lazy to read, but it helps to prevent misunderstanding!
• I do a rough sketch first. It can take from 2 days to 1 week.
Then after your approval I do lines and colouring or painting.
• After the piece is done If the work added is to refine something that is the fault of the requester that incurs a cost starting from 10$.
• Approximate lead time is 1-3 month. Or more, depends on my workload.
(If you need a piece done to a specific deadline in a short period of time it can be discussed but will affect the price)
• You are able to request work-in-progress updates.
• Full sized finished picture will be sent on your email. (You can request small resolution version)
• Prising can be flexible and depends on the amount of details and complexity. Because each drawing is individual. (For example complex patterns, clothes with a lot of details etc. will add a bit to the price)
• Simple background is included to the base price.
• Additional character adds about 50% of character the price.
• Prices for complex backgrounds, animals are calculated individually.
Portrait/bust starts from 500$
Waist-up starts from 700$
Full body starts from 800$
Complex illustration with multiple characters (from 2) starts from 1200$
Commercial work will add about 50% to the price.
Book cover will be 2000$
